Restaurants & hospitality.

Restaurant websites for Nairobi hospitality — menus that stay current, booking flows that actually book, and delivery handoffs to Glovo, Jumia Food or Bolt Food when you need them.

Built for restaurants, cafés, bars and cloud kitchens that want to own their customer relationship.

Most Nairobi restaurants we audit have a website from 2020 with a PDF menu the owner last updated when they removed a dish. Meanwhile 80% of their orders come through Glovo or Jumia Food — platforms that charge 30% commission and own the customer.

We build restaurant websites that do three things: show a current menu (editable by the manager, not a developer), take a table booking, and — crucially — take a direct order with M-Pesa payment so you keep the 30% the aggregators would have taken.

Common pains

What we fix.

  • 01
PDF menu that hasn't been updated since 2022
New dishes don't make it. Seasonal items disappear. Customers arrive expecting something you stopped serving.
  • 02
Booking via WhatsApp, lost in the chat
Reservations get missed because the floor manager is serving tables. Walk-ins get seated at tables that were already booked.
  • 03
30% commission to Glovo / Jumia
On a KES 2,000 order, that's KES 600 gone. Over a month of busy weeks, it's a meaningful chunk of margin.
  • 04
No SEO for Nairobi suburb searches
You're invisible for 'best pizza Westlands', 'brunch Lavington', 'steakhouse Kilimani' — the exact queries your customers type.

FAQ

Restaurants & hospitality-specific questions.

Can we take orders direct and still be on Glovo?
Yes. Most restaurants we work with keep a Glovo presence for discovery but push repeat customers to direct ordering with an incentive (free drink, loyalty stamp). Within 6 months, direct often crosses 40%.
How does M-Pesa integrate with a food order?
Customer picks items, enters phone number, pays via STK push. Kitchen gets the ticket as soon as payment clears. Receipt is SMS'd to the customer. No third-party payment widget bloat.
Can we do table bookings?
Yes — with real time-slot availability tied to your capacity model. We can integrate Resy or Tock if you want, or build in-house for simpler operations.
What about allergens / dietary tags?
Each menu item has structured tags (vegan, gluten-free, contains nuts, etc.) surfaced in filters. Schema markup means Google shows them in the search result.
